EcoPlan has recently been recognized with the following awards:

2010 Planning Institute of B.C. Award for Excellence in Comprehensive Planning & Policy
EcoPlan and the Sliammon First Nation were acknowledged with this award for work done on an integrated Land Use Plan for Sliammon’s two major reserves.

2010 Canadian Institute of Planners Award for Excellence in Recreation Planning (HM)
EPI and the Musqueam First Nation were acknowledged with this award for community engagement and site planning.

2010 Canadian Institute of Planners Award for Excellence in Planning Publication (HM)
William Trousdale and Robin Gregory were recognized for their article on Compensating aboriginal cultural loss. 

2010 Canadian Institute of Planners Award for Excellence in International Development
Working with UNDP and the Palestinian Ministries of Local Government and Planning, EcoPlan established the first comprehensive process roadmap for District planning in occupied Palestinian territory. 

Canadian Institute of Planners 2007 Award for Planning Excellence: Economic Development Category
Working with UN-Habitat, EcoPlan has developed a manual and training program entitled: Promoting Economic Development Through Strategic Planning. This 2007 CIP Award for Planning in Economic Development recognizes this as an innovative method for helping local governments face the challenges, opportunities and growing responsibilities in addressing the economic health of local areas while ensuring integration with other ongoing social and environmental sustainability initiatives.

Travel and Tourism Research Association Boeing Award
EcoPlan received this award in 1996 for a project entitled "Sustainable Tourism Planning with Multiple Objective Decision Analysis: A Case Study of the Guimara Farm Tourism Pilot Project."

EcoTourism Showcase 2000 Award Winner
The EcoTourism Showcase award recognizes excellence in organizations supporting ecotourism in the Americas. EcoPlan was a contributor to the project which one this award for work in the Maquipucuna Reserve, an 11,000-acre private reserve founded in 1988 to protect one of the last remaining patches of cloud forest in northwestern Ecuador. This ecotourism project was implemented in association with the Fundación Maquipucuna, a local conservation organization, as an alternative to resource depletion.
