Community and Local Economic Development
Community Economic Development or Local Economic Development (LED) gives local governments, private sector, non-profits, and communities opportunities to collectively improve local livelihoods and encourage sustainable growth that is both holistic and inclusive. It is a process by which stakeholders work collectively toward economic growth, income generation, and job creation while building the economic capacity of local areas to improve quality of life for all. EPI operates with the belief that development begins at home and that livelihoods are best improved one community at a time.
