First Nations and Métis Planning

EPI has worked extensively with First Nations, Métis and indigenous communities across B.C., Alberta, Yukon, the United States and internationally. We have been privileged to work with these communities and have gained important knowledge, insight and experience which we are able to bring to all of our projects in this area. As a result, we see planning as a source of healing as well as a way to achieve a brighter future. While our work has been varied --- from community energy plans to traditional use mapping -- it has been linked in its end goal of helping develop healthier, empowered communities.

EPI’s First Nations and Métis planning services include:
- Comprehensive community planning (CCP)
- Strategy development
- Feasibility assessments
- Community economic development
- Traditional use studies and mapping (TUS)
- Non-market compensation and valuation
- Tourism planning
- Negotiation support
- Community engagement
- Development feasibility
